CNC Machinist Job Description Job Overview Responsible for operating and monitoring computer-numeric controlled machines to make metal tools and parts. Study technical drawings, diagrams and briefs Set up and calibrate complex equipment Calculate measurements and dimensions Inspect and test products for compliance Adhere to safety protocols to ensure safety Repair and replace equipment as needed Control machines Perform in process inspections Analyze information and find the best solutions to problems Always maintain clear and honest communication Operate various CNC machine tools safely, within machine tool parameters, and competently Load, remove, and perform basic editing, as needed, of CNC programs Set up machine tools per instructions Create own progression programs for multiple part operations Create basic CNC programs at machine tool using G&M codes Operate multiple machine tools at one time Required Experience: High school diploma or GED Minimum one year experience working with CNC machines in some capacity Completion of a training program in CNC machining at a vocational or technical school highly preferred Apprenticeship programs are also preferred to get both classroom instruction and on-the-job training Required Skills: Strong analytical, mathematical and computer skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Understanding of safety regulations Ability to set up large, heavy machinery Comfort with interpreting blueprints, schematics and other technical documents Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Flexible spending

We are currently seeking a 1st Shift CNC Milling Machinist for a client in Shelton, CT Onsite.
