Required Skills/Education: • 3 years’ experience, 5 years preferred • CNC Lathes set-up and operate • Experience in a short run production environment • Must be conscientious, fast and accurate with attention to detail • Self-motivated, productivity minded and ability to work with minimal supervision • Must be able to read engineering drawings and process procedures and be familiar with measuring instruments and gauges • Read G-code, understand and edit programs • Math skills: Shop Math, Trigonometry, Geometry • Must be quality conscience and be responsible for own work • Setup and perform machine operations on two machines in the work cell • Maintain a clean and safe work environment • Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Manual Machinist needed: No CNC experience required . The candidate will be well versed in the set-up and operation of conventional Lathe, Drill Press and Milling machines for fabrication of metallic and nonmetallic parts. Applicants will be required to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and have a working knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerance. Candidates should have the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, depth and angle. The qualified candidate will be able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce custom precision parts, maintain tight tolerances, and should have a working knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. The candidate will observe operation of machine and verify conformance of machined work to specifications, work efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
