Position We have an exciting opportunity for a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist to join our West Hartford, CT Team. The 2nd shift Machinist produces production by operating specialized manufacturing machines with minimal supervision. This is a bargaining unit position (UAW), with an excellent wage and benefits package. We are seeking individuals with significant experience in grinding and assembly. Candidates will set-up and perform all operations relating to the manufacturing of components produced in multiple manufacturing cells. Responsible for assuring productivity levels are optimized. Responsibilities • Troubleshooting malfunctions when possible and alerting the appropriate personnel when necessary. • Regulating machining by utilizing machine instrumentation knowledge, including setting and adjusting controls. • Meeting production deadlines by following manufacturing schedules and procedures. • Operating manufacturing machines, such as a CNC lathe, mill drill, grinding machine, CNC mill machines and deburring. Also required are honing and lapping, manual OD, experience with riveting and bearing swaging/flaring. • Using blueprints or design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product. Qualifications • High School Diploma or greater • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. • General run of machine shop operations, floor assembly, and usual shop maintenance. • Hydo-mechanical and electronic manufacturing environment.

CNC Machining Leadman - 2nd Shift

Description: Jobin Machine, Inc. of West Hartford, CT is seeking a CNC Machining Leadman – 2nd Shift We are looking for an individual who can assist our operators with and solve production machining problems, do in-process and 1st piece inspection, and is also capable of doing set-up and running machines. This shift would be 2 pm – 10 pm to allow an overlap with 1st shift management. Responsibilities: • Ability to setup Haas CNC Mills and/or Okuma CNC Lathes (Fixturing, jaws, load programs, etc.) • Setup required tooling • Utilize basic programming and editing skills • Assist operators with machining problems • Producing first pieces which meet specification requirements • Perform 1st piece inspection • Review written documentation of setups and make corrections as required and work with Engineering to bring consistency to processes • Have the skillset to set up the necessary gaging for any job including dial bores, Sunnnen gages and thread gages • Ensure operators accurately fill out paperwork • Work with operators to ensure part inspection is done correctly • Ensure the operators maintain a clean work area and safe work environment • Follow all company policies and procedures • Must be able to work well with and communicate effectively with co-workers Minimum Qualifications: • Knowledge of G-code programming language • Knowledge of machining processes • Knowledge of blueprint reading & interpretation include GD&T • Able to read & write English • Use all types of variable measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) • Able to setup CNC Mills & Lathes • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little supervision • Ability to effectively communicate with Management, Engineering, and operators • Strong problem-solving skillset • 5+ years in a Lead machining position is desirable Benefit Summary: To apply for this position , download and fill out the employment form and email your completed application to careers@jobinmachine.com

CNC Milling Machinist - Programmer

We are seeking a skilled, experienced CNC Milling Machinist/ Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, machine setup, and operation, as well as a sound understanding of technical drawings and blueprints. Responsibilities: • Functioning as a Lead in the CNC Milling department by providing help and support to other Milling Operators, but will not have direct supervisory responsibility. • As assigned, setting up complex jobs in the Milling department and/or running production • Assisting the Engineering Director in programming CNC Milling machines, designing fixtures, determining manufacturing processes, and selecting cutting tools, • Being a key resource in problem-solving and troubleshooting production, process, or mechanical problems • Setting a personal example and being a positive role model with regard to working safely, focusing on Quality, and meeting expected production standards • Setting a personal example of understanding and adhering to Company policies or expectations, such as: 1) the Company’s AS9100 Quality Management System, 2) compliance with ITAR-related policies and requirements Qualifications: • Minimum of 10 years of experience in CNC milling and/or programming. • Working proficiency in the use of MasterCam software is required • Experience in working with Solid Models • Strong understanding of machine setup, tooling, and fixturing. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to meeting customer requirements
