Job Title: CNC Programmer/Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist for our Davenport, Iowa facility. This role involves performing all setup and operation of Haas Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment to machine parts with various sizes, geometries, materials, and tolerance requirements. The position is for the 1st shift only. Responsibilities • Perform all required setups of Haas CNC equipment, including the placement and securing of fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and guards. • Operate Haas CNCs to produce a wide variety of production parts. • Collaborate with Engineering to debug programs for first runs of new production parts or custom parts. • Edit and optimize programs for production parts following initial debug. • Write CNC programs for and produce simple fixtures and custom non-production parts when necessary. • Proficiently use a wide variety of inspection equipment such as rulers, calipers, and micrometers. • Thoroughly inspect parts produced on CNC machining centers. • Perform diagnostics on scrap or out-of-tolerance parts to identify root causes and corrective actions. • Inspect incoming parts from outsourced fabrication and machine shops to ensure parts are made correctly per the drawings and within required tolerances. • File and store inspection reports and drawings for future reference. • Communicate and work with Production Manager and Engineering to understand accept or reject criteria for fabrications and parts. • Follow all cleanup and housekeeping procedures. • Follow manufacturer’s recommendations for proper maintenance, cleaning, and inspection. • Organize and maintain an efficient and clean work environment in the machining area. • Store and catalog all machining fixtures and tooling logically for fast retrieval and to avoid loss of parts. • Work with Production Manager and Supply Chain to maintain a proper inventory level of cutting tools, fluids, etc. • Proceed with minimal supervision and direction. Essential Skills • Experience with Haas CNC programming and operations. • Ability to debug, edit, and optimize CNC programs. • Proficiency in using inspection equipment such as rulers, calipers, and micrometers. • Strong understanding of machining and blueprint reading. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in working with engineering teams to debug and optimize programs. • Capability to write CNC programs for simple fixtures and custom parts.
