Machine Operator

Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description As a Molder in the Molding department, you will operate various equipment including molding presses, vacuum forming, die-cutting machines, CNC routers, plastic granulators, and general hand tools. You will work with multiple presses in a fast-paced environment, maintaining the standard cycle established by job rate while handling large sheets or parts. Quality inspection and communication are key aspects of this role. Responsibilities • Operate molding presses, vacuum forming, die-cutting, CNC routing, plastic granulators, and general hand tools. • Work with multiple presses in a fast-paced environment. • Follow instructions and work independently. • Maintain standard cycle as established by job rate. • Handle large sheets or part/parts, up to 51 inches in size. • Inspect the quality of parts and report any changes to the immediate Manager/Lead. • Be accountable for the quality of your work. • Move, pack, or stack raw or finished parts without damaging or affecting quality. • Ensure labels are affixed neatly with correct information. • Clean up at and around presses during mold changeovers and at the end of the day. • Perform re-work or other necessary functions when instructed or when time allows. • Assist in the development and training of new machine operators. • Communicate to the relieving operator about trimming, packing, and quality standards. • Work a flexible schedule to support production demands. • Adhere to department and company safety guidelines. • Perform a visual inspection for cosmetic defects. • Perform essential duties efficiently and accurately. • Work independently of continual supervision. • Perform other duties as assigned or needed. Essential Skills • Proficiency with measuring tools and basic math skills. • Ability to read precision measuring tools. • Experience in equipment operation and machine operation. • Understanding of blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, and push/pull 30 pounds. • Ability to step up and down from machine platforms. • Frequent standing, walking, and reaching. • Occasional bending, stooping, and squatting. Typically, individuals advance one to two tiers within the first 16 months. Work Environment This position is for the 3rd shift with hours from 10pm to 6am, Monday through Friday. The work takes place in a factory environment where you may occasionally be exposed to moderate noise, oily, dusty, hot, and wet conditions, as well as moving mechanical parts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparta, Wisconsin. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.05 - $17.05/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
