Job Title: Machinist Compensation The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. Job Responsibilities • Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work • Trains others as required. • Repairs and maintains mill equipment. • Fully utilizes all skills and abilities to work in a flexible environment. • Welds, solders, cuts, measures, micrometer, drill and tap, and heats as required. • Performs general housekeeping duties. • Performs other duties as assigned by supervision. • Sets up and operates machine tools to fabricate or repair mill equipment. • Assists other crafts in assembling and/or disassembling mill equipment. • Machines parts to close tolerance. • Fabricates or duplicates parts from prints, sketch, blueprint or existing part. • Performs blacksmith duties as required. On-the-job Requirements • Must participate in related instruction and/or training as required. • Must do considerable amount of bending, stooping, reaching, turning and twisting. • Must climb and work in high places occasionally to take measurements. • Must stand for prolonged periods of time. • Must work in confined places. • Must work with hazardous materials. • Must work in extremely hot and humid areas. • Must follow all safety policies and requirements. • Must learn to operate and use maintenance equipment. • Must learn to operate and use power equipment, e.g., lathe, milling machine, shaper, variety of measuring instruments, etc. • Must read blueprints and schematic diagrams. • Must have a telephone and live within a reasonable commuting distance of the plant. • Must be able to work shift work, overtime, Sundays, and holidays as required. • Must be able to respond to call-ins utilizing cell phone call procedure. • Must comply with company respirator policy. • Must be able to work independently, be able to prioritize work, and be a self-starter. • Must be able to effectively communicate and work in a team environment. • Must be willing to keep current with industry advancements by continuing education and further developing skills. • May be assigned work as a millwright helper or roll grinder as business needs dictate. • Expected to respond to call-ins, work shift work, overtime, Sundays and holidays as required. Qualifications • Must possess ambulatory capabilities to move freely about the mill in carrying out responsibilities. • Must be able to lift 50 100 lbs. regularly. • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Products, work within the systems, and be able to type. • Must not be allergic to corrosive acids, chlorine, chemicals, resins, gases, etc. • Must have flexibility, reach and body height consistent with job responsibilities. • Must pass a respirator fit test and be clean shaven where the sealing surface of the respirator contacts the face. • Must have a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and be able to drive. CNC Milling Machinist 2

This is a 2nd shift opportunity, with 1st shift training, in the Milling Department and involves performing a series of complex machine operations on CNC Vertical Machining Center Mazak Nexus 510C. Typical job runs are 1-10 parts. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Retrieve CNC programs and load to the machine • Setup, load, and operate CNC machines to produce parts per prints • Edit in G-code and manually program using Mazatrol Control • Setup fixturing and come up with your own set ups on machine • Perform first piece and in-process quality inspections • Setup cutters in holders and adjust height and length • Read drawings/prints to identify operations, specification, and tolerances • Meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements • Use various hand tools to finish parts and check • Use measuring devices like micrometers and calipers to ensure specifications are met • Perform operator maintenance tasks like oiling, greasing, and cleaning the machine (5S) • Use forklift or crane to store and retrieve fixturing and other essential equipment • Operate other machines in the department as needed QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma required. Advanced education or apprenticeship preferred. • 5 years of CNC mill set-up and programming experience required. • Mazak experience preferred. • Strong skills in editing G-code and manual programming in Mazatrol preferred. • Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls are also essential. • Willingness to move between work centers.
