Duties and Responsibilities • Interpret Aircraft Manual drawings and repair procedures • Setup basic equipment, tools, fixtures and machines for each part repaired with minimal supervision. • Be able to read and interpret measuring tools such as OD Micrometer's, ID Bore Micrometers, Calipers, Dial indicators, Height Gages, Gage Blocks and Depth Micrometers. • Deburr parts with attention to detail. • Produce final dimensional requirements of parts being machined. • Maintain clean and organized work area. • Perform routine maintenance on machines. • Have strong verbal communication skills and works well with other employees. Ensure parts meet specifications utilizing micrometers, calipers, gauges and other measurement instruments. In addition to the above you will perform routine machine maintenance prior to each shift to ensure all oils, lubricants and coolant tanks are full, run warm up programs to warm up the machine when/where required, and report any machine issues to maintenance for repair.
