The A-Level Maintenance Mechanic / Machinist is integral to the maintenance team, ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment within our cable manufacturing facility. This role emphasizes minimizing equipment downtime through effective troubleshooting, repairs, and proactive maintenance strategies. Precision in measurements and a thorough understanding of mechanical systems are essential for both repairing existing machinery and installing new equipment. Key Responsibilities • Machinery Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in production equipment to ensure minimal downtime. • Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Implement and adhere to maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failures and extend machinery lifespan. • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS): Utilize CMMS for tracking maintenance activities, logging work orders, and managing inventory. • Project Support: Assist in capital projects and facility expansions, including equipment installation and system upgrades. • Safety and 6S Compliance: Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to 6S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety). • Supervisory Coverage: Provide occasional supervisory support as needed, ensuring continuity of operations. • Flexible Scheduling: Willingness to work weekends or alternative shifts based on operational requirements. Qualifications • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in industrial maintenance, with a focus on mechanical systems. • Education: Associate's degree in Maintenance Industrial Technology or equivalent training. • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in machining, welding (for repairs and light fabrication), pipefitting, and plumbing. • Alignment and Rigging: Experienced in rigging and aligning motors/pumps using dial indicators and laser alignment tools. • Diagnostic Tools: Proficient in using boroscopes and other diagnostic equipment for machinery assessment. • Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics accurately. • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and maintenance. • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a focus on reliability and teamwork. • Aptitude Assessment: Successful completion of a general mechanical aptitude test. Plant Machinist - 12HR Nights

Job Summary Job requires Maintenance/Machine tech to perform diverse functions as requested by their supervisor. Functions include but are not limited to assembling machinery, machining components and performing existing part modifications when necessary. General building maintenance is required. Travel to other plant sites may be needed. Job Responsibilities • Works from prints or sketches should changes be needed follows AS9100 procedure to ensure modifications are properly documented. • Performs building maintenance as required. • Observes safety rules and regulations. • Works well in team orientated environment. • Work schedule will be set however can be changed depending on workload. Proper notification will be given. • Overtime and non-production work hours will be required as needs arise Qualifications • Ability to carry out oral and written instructions. • Ability to multitask. • Work in a team or alone as the particular job/situation requires. • Maintain neat and clean work area. This is a highly skilled position involving the control and operation of an asphalt milling machine as well as a skid steer with milling head and power broom attachment. Assignment to this position presumes the operation of such equipment as a regular assignment. Operators may assist in loading and unloading of trucks and using hand tools as related to the project. May function as a lead worker, on a limited basis. Essential Functions, skills and abilities: • Operate heavy, motorized equipment. • Operate asphalt cold milling machine including grade controls. • Perform a variety of skilled construction and maintenance tasks. • Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods in unfavorable weather conditions. • Work independently in the absence of supervision. • Understand and follow oral and written instructions. • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. • Ensure adherence to safe work practices. • Follow safety regulations and remove and minimize potential hazards. • Perform routine maintenance and ensure any needed repairs are made. • Report complex mechanical problems for shop repairs.
