Machinist II

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machining and manufacturing processes, with expertise in CNC programming and precision measurement. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and collaboratively to produce high-quality components while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. Duties • Must be able to read blueprints and use calipers • Must be proficient in reading a tape measure • Must be able to convert metric to standard • Basic machine programming using “G” and “M” codes • Basic machine practices (Deburring parts, drilling and tapping holes, cutting key-ways, indicating vices, and off-setting tools). Experience • Proven experience as a machinist with a strong mechanical knowledge base. • Proficiency in CNC operations including programming for Fanuc systems. • Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes is a plus. • Experience in welding is beneficial but not required. • Strong basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations related to machining tasks. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting with an understanding of lean manufacturing principles is preferred. Machining Manager This person will lead the Machining Production Department in a way that supports the company, customers, and employees. This person will support the departmental leadership and employees to successfully meet goals and objectives by providing guidance, technical expertise and resources needed in order to be safe and productive. Responsibilities • Assess and assist in upgrading the supervisory and operator’s talent and skills bases to achieve growth and meet market needs such as reduced cost, efficient production cycle times, uptimes, and reliable delivery • Research plan, target, and control reductions in costs of operations.
