Toolmaker Machinist (2nd shift)

Adecco is now hiring a Toolmaker / Machinist located in Anderson, SC, with a pay range of $31-$40 per hour.Looking for a Machinist/Toolmaker who can perform, but is not limited to, the following: Under limited supervision, set up and operate precision machines (CNC, Press, Milling Machine, Band Saw, Shear, etc.). Confers with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems. Performs daily maintenance and cleaning of machines and workspace. Setup and measurement of machine tools. Ability to set up and create programs for CNC milling machines. Ability to perform root cause analysis of machining errors. A Toolmaker is responsible for making engineered prototype parts and precision tools (such as jigs, molds, and dies). They will work with a variety of materials, including metals, alloys, plastics, and ceramics. A Toolmaker's job will also involve using computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines, so a solid background in a variety of technical and IT processes is important. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma required.Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years' experience in a Machinist/Toolmaker role.Proficient in Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Basic knowledge and experience of principles, procedures, work routines, and skills in the related field. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREDAbility to program and operate CNC mills, CNC EDMs, CNC lathes, and other standard manual toolroom equipment.CAD/CAM experience, including AutoCAD, Mastercam, and Catia.Use computer-aided design software for creating complex models, patterns, templates, and component detailed drawings for new product concepts.Complete knowledge of equipment and practices associated with fixture, prototype, mold, and die building.Full knowledge of precision inspection practices, hand tools, and equipment.In-depth knowledge of materials used in the fabrication of tools, prototypes, dies, and molds.Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and tool drawings.Experience with tooling and adjusting speeds and feeds.Knowledge of safety processes.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.Effective in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong decision-making abilities.Highly self-motivated.
