Converting / Machine Operator - First Shift

Pay Rate: $15.50 Hours: Monday - Thursday 5:00 am - 3:30 pm (Flexible) JOB TITLE: Machine Operator-Tier 1 EMPLOYEE STATUS: Non-Exempt, hourly PURPOSE: The associate in this position is able to learn all the technical competencies necessary to operate production equipment, is able to read and understand part specifications, and enters productivity and run conditions into our system. AREA OF PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITY: Production -Converting Area ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1) Demonstrated ability to set up and operate machine in converting area. 2) Visually inspects product for deficiencies and ensures product is within specification. 3) Effectively communicates material and equipment concerns to leadership 4) Maintains accurate production records. 5) Performs daily operator maintenance and maintains a clean and organized workspace. 6) Communicates continuous improvement suggestions to leadership 7) Practices good safety habits and understands HVO safety rules & regulations. 8) Becomes familiar with relevant FDA and ISO standards. 9) Possess computer skills for clocking information into time module & relevant job related tasks 10) Assist in non-routine temporary tasks needed in the department. TIER REQUIREMENTS: 1) Demonstrates Satisfactory Attendance 2) Demonstrate Good Documentation Practices 3) Associate should consistently meet or exceed productivity targets with acceptable quality 4) Understand all relevant safety and company guidelines related to position 5) Advancement criteria is provided in next tier job description GENERAL DUTIES: 1) Serve as a role model to demonstrate good work habits and behaviors 2) Practice proper gowning procedures and acceptable hygiene. 3) Completes recommended training as requested. MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS / PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: 1) Ability to interact, respect and work with individuals with disabilities 2) Possess computer skills for clocking information into time module & relevant job related tasks. 3) Knowledge of mechanical equipment including ability to read & do basic math functions and understand English. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1) Ability to lift & position (with assistance) 85-pounds for changeovers depending on the machine being operated. 2) Demonstrated ability to concentrate closely both mentally and visually for sustained periods of time on repetitive tasks. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma / GED preferred or proven work experience in a related field. Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 5:00am - 3:30pm; Required Overtime As Needed
