Job Title: Machinist Job Description This machinist role is essential for a manufacturing company, where you will support the assembly team by creating necessary parts for building drills. Your primary responsibility will be making rotors. Responsibilities • Operate Mazak lathes to produce parts, transitioning them to a less utilized lathe for increased productivity. • Set up machines and make minor edits to programs using G code or similar controls. • Load materials into machines and oversee production runs. • Manage production schedules ranging from 6-12 parts to over 100, with orders potentially taking up to two days. • Maintain a tolerance of +/- .002. • Utilize personal quality tools such as micrometers and calipers. • Perform basic math operations with decimals and fractions. • Occasionally use a Bridgeport to drill holes as needed. • Operate a forklift to move materials for production. Essential Skills • 2+ years of experience with machining on mills or lathes. • Experience in machine setup. • Proficiency in reading blueprints. • Proven ability to maintain a tolerance of +/- .002 or better. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with manual lathe or mill operations. • Forklift operation experience. • Programming experience. Why Work Here? Swiss Machinist NIGHT SHIFT (Aerospace Machine shop) South Bend, IN

We are seeking a Swiss Setup/Operator Machinist for our NIGHT SHIFT (MUST HAVE 3 YEARS MINIMUM SWISS EXPERIENCE) (Aerospace Machine Shop) to join our team! Your primary function will be to setup, and operate our Swiss machines., along with learning to work with all the other machines throughout the shop. Responsibilities: • Regulates machining by setting and adjusting controls. • Produces parts by locating and aligning workpiece against stops and guides. • Maintains specifications by observing operations; detecting malfunctions; inspecting parts; adjusting controls. • Resolves production problems by altering process to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources. • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. • If needed, we will train a qualified person. ​Qualifications: Knowledge of Citizen-Cincom machines is a plus. Extensive knowledge of gaging is a plus. Ability to set up and run Swiss machines with tolerances starting at .0003. Ability to read Aerospace drawings. Knowledge of GT & D tolerancing is a plus.
