Summary This position is for a CNC Operator. The role involves operating CNC Mills/Lathes, primarily using 3-axis machines such as HAAS and Doosan. The operator will need to pull up and select the appropriate program for specific parts, primarily using FANUC controllers. Additionally, the operator will perform first piece inspections using calipers and will be responsible for machine startup. See More Details >>SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, this individual performs the duties of setting up and operating numerically controlled and conventional machine tools within the machining area, producing a variety of diversified finished parts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Safe Set-up and Operation of CNC equipment with supervision tied to quality, cost and delivery • Inspection of parts • Operates standalone and secondary processes independently • Stand alone equipment is primary job • Oversee proper daily maintenance of all assigned equipment • Report any product or equipment concerns to appropriate person • Maintain proper relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and outside contacts • Perform and record in-process inspections as required • Perform other duties and assist in other areas as needed JOB REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 1 years CNC machining experience preferred. Skills: • Language Skills – The ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical and procedure manuals and government regulations. Ability to write routine reports, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and business correspondences. Able to communicate well with other employees. • Mathematical Skills – Ability to read blueprints and gauges. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Must pass a mechanical aptitude test. • Reasoning Ability – Must exhibit common sense ability to carry out functions in written, oral, or diagram form and ability to deal with problems involving abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
