Duties and Responsibilities • Follow company GMPs • Check gram weight on Ishida operation terminal • Clear weigher faults • Keep all formers and film off the floor • Empty machines when shutting down • Operate video jet printers and change printer ribbon when needed • Perform timely changeovers • Tear down and set up machine • Operate fastback systems, weighers, and packing equipment • Ensure all required paperwork is completed • Ensure all bags are running correct weights • Ensure all bags are in registration, both in cutoff and side to side registration • Ensure all bags are code-dated properly with both price and date legible and in proper position on face of bag • Ensure bags are sealed properly and that bag appearance is acceptable • Add/remove air from bags and ensure proper air fill • Change knife blades • Change bag speed in packaging machines and weighers and ensure running rates based on lead label • Keep machines clean and area under and around the machine clean and help sweep packing area • Weigh defected film, record defect and place film in defective area provided • Keep in feeds, dispersion table, scales, etc, free from buildup • Perform hourly metal detector checks as required.
