Cnc Machinist

Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description We are seeking an experienced and skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in machining with hands-on experience operating Mazak, Haas, and Okuma CNC machines. This role requires expertise in working with tight tolerances, precise measuring devices, tool changes, and multi-axis setups while maintaining a high level of precision and quality. The machinist will work with a variety of materials, including aluminum, steel, alloys, and Inconel. Responsibilities • Operate Mazak, Haas, and Okuma CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. • Ensure tight tolerances are maintained using precise measuring devices. • Perform tool changes and multi-axis setups efficiently. • Work with various materials such as aluminum, steel, alloys, and Inconel. • Modify and troubleshoot G-code programs as required. • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. • Maintain own basic tools necessary for the role, including calipers, micrometers, and wrenches. Essential Skills • Hands-on experience with Mazak, Haas, Okuma, and other CNC machines. • Strong understanding of tight tolerance machining. • Proficiency in G-code programming. • Experience with 4-axis and 5-axis CNC operations. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. • Own basic tools necessary for the role. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Knowledge of GD&T principles for interpreting technical drawings. • Experience with Mazatrol conversational programming. • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and machining processes. • Experience with CAD and CAM software for programming and designing parts. • Understanding of optimal feed rates, speeds, and tooling strategies. • Experience with fixture design, setup, and adjustments. Machine Operator I

JOB PURPOSE Manufacturing Partners, Inc. (MPI) is a high-volume firearm manufacturing company. We are looking for a Machine Operator I to maintain average set ups on the CNC machines. A successful individual will have a good working knowledge of the machine tools and be required to make necessary offsets to keep parts in print tolerances. This role will also assist with process inspection of daily production parts. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Display ability to perform basic blueprint reading. • Display ability to use common inspection equipment: Read a micrometer, dial Vernier caliper, plug gages, test indicators, depth mics, etc. • Maintain efficiency levels on assigned machines per determined goals. • Maintain a high level of quality. • Maintain an attendance and tardiness record within set limits of company policy. • Ability to follow all routine machine procedures. • Ability to maintain average set ups or seek assistance to keep machines running. • Deburr parts per the work instructions as required. • Prevent part damage through proper material handling techniques. • Follow good safety habits and the company’s safety guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent required. • At least five years of maintenance experience required. • Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. • Extensive knowledge of CNC machines and auxiliary equipment • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed. • Ability to plan maintenance schedules. • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. WORKING CONDITIONS • Must be able to work in the following work environment: • Moderate noise levels from machinery. • Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts. • Breathing fumes, dust, and mist. • Skin exposed to oils and cutting fluids. Must wear personal protection equipment as required including, but not limited to, hearing protection, non-slip shoes, safety glasses. All offers are contingent upon successfully passing a background check and drug screen. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • No previous machining experience necessary. • Must be able to move and transport 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. on occasion. • Must be able to maintain a stationary position for the entire shift. • Must be able to reach above shoulders, and rotate torso 60% of the shift. CNC Operator I- 1st & 2nd Shift

This position is responsible for the fabrication of high precision machined components. A machine operator will run machining equipment and is responsible for the loading/unloading, measuring, and making routine dimensional adjustments. Machine Operators must follow all operator instructions along with strict adherence to the Quality System. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Adhere to all Safety Principles. • Adhere to all Quality System Standards. • Operate simple to complex CNC machines including Saws, CNC lathes, Gun drill and CNC mills. • Make required adjustments to maintain specifications utilizing engineering drawings, verbal instructions, written Operator Instructions, engineering drawings and boundary samples. • Process components within established operator cycle times. • Measure components and test complete assemblies using calibrated test and measuring equipment. • Prepare required written documentation, i.e., Product Acceptance Records, Nonconforming Material Reports. • Assist in on-the-job training of other employees. • Participate in Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery improvements. • Adhere to guidelines and procedures to ensure the safe handling, removal, and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials. • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma or GED • 18 Years or older • Ability to read and understand Safety Rules, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and engineering drawings. • Ability to operate CNC equipment. • Ability to use common and power tools. • Ability to use calibrated tests and measuring equipment. • Ability to communicate effectively with work groups. • Ability to apply problem solving techniques to troubleshoot and implement corrective action. WORKING CONDITIONS Employees work in a controlled climate. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • The employee will be sitting, standing, lifting, bending, reaching, daily. • Ability to lift 45lbs. • Ability to stand, bend and reach for an 8-12-hour shift.
