A Snapshot of Your Day In this role, you set up and operate advanced machining equipment, including horizontal and vertical milling machines, CNC machines, and speed mills. You are accountable for meticulously ensuring detailed measurements and conducting first article inspections on parts to uphold high-quality production standards. Your day involves a blend of technical expertise and problem-solving to ensure the seamless operation and accuracy of sophisticated machinery. How You’ll Make an Impact • Operate horizontal and vertical milling machines, CNC machines, and speed mills according to provided instructions or work packages. • Use various precision measurement tools to check machined dimensions, verify tolerances, and perform first article inspections on parts. • Set up and program parts applying “G” Code to write machining programs specific to each part. • Exercise judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions regarding the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures. What You Bring • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required • Machinist certificate or equivalent experience • Completion of a machining apprenticeship is preferred • Proficiency in reading blueprints and shop mathematics • Proven experience operating horizontal and vertical milling machines, CNC machines, and speed mills • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
