HTG builds custom sensor systems, automated machinery, testing equipment, and specialized systems for a variety of industries, including but not limited to Medical/Life Sciences, Automotive, Industrial, Military Systems, and Government Research and Development. The candidate for the role will participate in the team-oriented fabrication, development, and testing of a wide range of electrical and electronics equipment and integrated systems for both industrial and military applications. Candidates are expected to have broad interests within the field, as well as the aptitude and attitude to develop new skills as needed to support the firm's growth. Specific duties of the job may include, but certainly would not be limited to the following: Essential job duties: • Operate CNC machinery (CAM, SolidWorks, and Haas CNC experience a plus) • Ability to change/setup tooling, for semi-complex fixturing. • Setup and operation of both manual mills and lathes • Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and other engineering specifications. • Working knowledge of shop floor mathematics and measuring tools/equipment • Able to use basic hand tools for machine shop and assembly area duties. • Able to follow all safety procedures. • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. • Willing to work in different departments when requested. • Communication, problem-solving and troubleshooting ability. Required Experience: • Manufacturing or Machining Diploma from Vocational, Trade School, or College • 3-8 years of machine shop experience Preferred Experience: • 8-12 years of machine shop experience Physical Requirements: • Routinely lift 50 lbs. • Duties will also require extended periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling and lifting light to heavy objects Work schedule will be set by Shop Manager but may be required to work other shifts at high production times.
