Machine Operator

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our team! You will operate grinding machines and oversee part completion, part quality, cleaning, and light maintenance. Responsibilities: • Run grinding machines and oversee part completion • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion • Load and unload equipment • Provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency • Conduct routine preventive maintenance • Log and record precise readings • Inspect parts ​Qualifications: • Previous experience in plant operations or other related fields • Familiarity with Dial Indicator, Manual Lathe, Vernier Caliper and related equipment a plus • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills • Ability to handle physical workload, standing during shift. • Ability to learn and accept correction when needed. Apply now and discover a career where your contributions are valued, your growth is supported, and your work makes a lasting impact Duties/Responsibilities: • All tools and equipment to be used in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations • Reads and interprets material and cut list information • Ensures quality parts and materials produced through machinery • Navigates machinery interface effectively • Troubleshoots machinery issues, identifies root cause, and retains corrective action knowledge • Supports all additional tasks directed by the production manager • Performs daily operator checklist of machinery • Executes lumber cutting, framing, nailing, and routing timely and in the sequence required by production • Sorts and organizes scrap material generated from machinery • Effectively communicates mechanical breaks, errors, and down time to production management and maintenance staff • Safely and effectively operates computer-aided systems • Learns and understands necessary computer programs to perform job related tasks • Adheres to PPE and safety requirements of the production facility Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to follow directions and work well in a team. • Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation. • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable safety regulations. • Ability to read, count and write Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • At least one year of related experience preferred. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending, stooping and climbing. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
