CNC Setup Machinist/ Swiss/ Mill/ Lathe

Overview JMC Tool & Machine is seeking highly motivated CNC Setup Machinists to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities • Set up, adjust, and operate milling centers, lathes, and Swiss-style lathes. • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using shop math and measuring instruments. • Measure first-piece and in-process parts to customer specifications. • Align and secure holding fixtures, tools, attachments, and materials onto machines. • Study blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine machining methods. • Maintain and troubleshoot industrial machines as needed. • Enter and edit programs using CNC machine controls. • Preset tools using Zoller tool presetting machine and software. • Follow AS9100 quality procedures and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention practices. • Apply knowledge of machining, material properties, process optimization, and quality control. Waterjet Machinist

Broadwind Industrial Solutions is searching for a Waterjet Machinist to join our team in Sanford, NC. The Machinist will program and operate the Flow Mach 200 Waterjet machine along with other machining responsibilities. This position will review drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Programming and operating the Flow Mach 200 Waterjet machine. • Start and stop the machine, load/feed the machine, and monitor machine operations. • Set-up, program, adjust and operate machine to run recurring projects according to customer prints. • Monitor production to ensure quality and perform verifications and inspection of the product and the machine • Complete all required safety procedures prior to and during operations. • Keep a clean and orderly work area. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment. • Safely operate overhead crane, and forklift equipment. • Complete other machine shop responsibilities based on business needs. • All other duties as assigned. Academic/Experience/Credentials/Certifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • 1+ years minimum waterjet operating and programming experience • CNC Machining experience desired Specialized Skills/Knowledge/Ability • Forklift experience needed • Ability to read and understand blueprints and interpret geometric tolerances • Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments to include but not limited to calipers, micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales • Basic computer skills and ability to learn and navigate ERP systems and efficiently enter information in the system. • Good command of the English language both written and verbal. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks and demands. • Ability to read, write and follow established methods and procedures. • Ability to perform basic shop math to include adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety glasses, steel-toed shoes). • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis. • Perform work in a non-climate controlled shop environment. • Auto CAD experience a plus Broadwind Industrial Solutions, LLC subsidiary focuses on distribution, kitting, supply chain services and electromechanical assemblies.
