We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Foreman to oversee HVAC installations, maintenance, and system operations on commercial construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, leadership abilities, and a proven record of ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and up to the highest safety standards. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and lead a team of HVAC technicians and installers on commercial construction projects. • Ensure all HVAC installations are done per project specifications, local codes, and manufacturer requirements. • Collaborate with project managers, sub-contractors, and other trades to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. • Maintain high standards of safety and enforce OSHA regulations on job sites. • Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system issues that arise during installation and construction. • Review blueprints, schematics, and project plans to ensure accurate HVAC system layout and installation. • Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the HVAC installation process. • Train and mentor HVAC technicians and helpers, ensuring skill development and adherence to best practices. • Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. • Coordinate with Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure project timelines and expectations are met. Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, particularly in commercial construction. • Proven experience as an HVAC foreman or supervisor, with a strong understanding of commercial construction processes. • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, refrigeration, and controls. • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively. • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and HVAC system specifications. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor in various environmental conditions. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: • Certification from a recognized HVAC training or apprenticeship program. • Experience with commercial building management systems (BMS). • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Job Duties: • Provide fast and friendly customer service by following "Customer First" standards, in person or over the telephone. • Display positive attitude by greeting customers as they enter the branch. • Ensure commitments made to customer meet/exceed expectations. Enter customer order in system on the same day the order is received. • Pull customer orders from warehouse and load into company delivery truck, customer vehicle or stage pick up by using safe material handling procedures. • Produce and complete paperwork accurately including but not limited to invoices, and C.O.D.'s, special orders, vendor purchase orders, shipping and receiving paperwork. • Ensure all product leaving the branch is billed. Collect payment via cash, or credit card and by following all money handling procedures. • Follow procedure to process all customer returns and warranties the same day it is received. • Maintain self service area by restocking, rotating display/end caps, and tidying area. • Create/maintain branch displays that support corporate programs and branch's strengths/markets. • Use all available resources to locate product for customers. Provide updates as necessary to customer on delivery and backordered product. • Immediately reports damage, safety issues and accidents to supervisor. • Use sales tactics to promote special items or sales. Keep up to date with all new product information. Educate customer on available product, make recommendations and provide information as needed. • Perform warehouse duties whenever necessary. Duties include but are not limited to clearing of debris, pallets and cartons, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning bathroom, emptying trash, tidying shelves, and loading/unloading by hand or using material handling equipment. • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping workstation neat and orderly. • Professionally represent the R.E. Michel Company by wearing the approved company uniform and abiding by company grooming standards at all times. • Other duties as assigned. Preferred Education and Qualifications: • Exemplify excellent verbal communication skills with the general public and/or customers. • Excellent attitude and interpersonal skills necessary to service customers in the branch, on the telephone or at the delivery site. • Demonstrated proficiency while operating a computer and Prophet 21. • Basic math skills. Understands the difference between calculating "markup" and calculating gross margin and the effect of that calculation on sales, gross margin, expenses, bottom line, and controllable expenses. • Ability to read invoices, catalogs, stock numbers and descriptions to accurately identify items. Other Requirements: • Basic understanding of Heating and Cooling systems, parts and supplies is required Work Environment: Fast-paced environment where frequent interruptions may occur. Requires frequent bending, climbing, movement and lifting during physical loading/unloading of trucks and when stocking products. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday and some Saturdays (half day). This is a safety sensitive position. Commissioning Specialist - CO2 and RHVAC

This is a Field position, requiring 90% travel throughout Mid Atlantic. Service areas includes: Maryland, DC, Virginia and Southeast Pennsylvania POSITION SUMMARY The CO2 Commissioning Specialist ensures the successful implementation and commissioning of CO2 refrigeration systems for new store builds and remodels. This role requires close collaboration with clients, manufacturers, contractors, and in-house teams to achieve precise system functionality, compliance with specifications, and project success. Travel extensively throughout Southeast US region, with 90% travel required. This role may also be relevant for those with experience as CO2 Refrigeration Technicians, CO2 Rack Specialists, or HVAC/R professionals with CO2 expertise. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Client and Manufacturer Coordination • Partner with clients, rack manufacturers, and case manufacturers to meet all project specifications and requirements. • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders for smooth CO2 system integration into store environments. Training and Support • Provide hands-on training and technical guidance to refrigeration contractors and electricians on critical wiring components. • Train refrigeration contractors and in-house technicians on terminating case controllers, configuring walk-in communication boxes, and establishing device connectivity. Project Scheduling and Milestone Management • Track and manage timelines for store openings or remodels, ensuring key milestones are met. • Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve potential delays proactively. Device and Communication Setup • Assist refrigeration contractors and in-house technicians in bringing devices online to ensure proper network communication and system functionality. Rack System Start-Up and Commissioning Coordination • Plan and oversee rack system start-ups with rack/controller manufacturers and refrigeration contractors. • Conduct thorough testing and verification of all components to ensure optimal performance. Store Handover and Transition • For Remodel Stores: Transition the project to the Energy Specialist commissioning agent after rack start-up and commissioning. • For New Stores: Ensure a smooth handoff to the in-house maintenance team or client after successful commissioning of racks, cases, and walk-ins. REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications • 5 to 10 years of HVAC/R experience (less experience considered with relevant education/training). • In-depth knowledge of CO2 refrigeration systems and commissioning protocols. • Familiarity with wiring and control systems for CO2 systems. • High school diploma or GED. • EPA Universal Certification. • State Refrigeration License (if applicable). • Valid driver’s license with no suspensions in the last 3-5 years. Preferred Qualifications and Competencies • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively. • Strong multitasking skills with excellent written and verbal communication. • Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Strong project management skills with a focus on timelines and milestones. • Attention to technical detail and a problem-solving mindset.
