Hiring a Sr. HVAC Technician in New Castle County We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Mechanic to lead and perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Pay $30 - $40+/hour Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, and split systems. • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues using advanced tools and techniques. • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate system installation and service. • Lead and mentor junior technicians and apprentices on job sites. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety regulations. • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job. • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure project timelines and expectations are met. Essential Skills • 6+ years of commercial HVAC experience, including both installation and service. • EPA Universal Certification required. • HVAC trade school diploma or equivalent experience. • Strong understanding of HVAC controls, electrical systems, and refrigeration cycles. • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Additional Skills & Qualifications • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred. • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills. • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities. • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
