Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone skilled in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems, including ammonia refrigeration, possess excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working independently across various residential environments. This role is vital to ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our residents through high-quality HVAC service and maintenance. Key Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and ammonia refrigeration equipment. • Perform routine inspections and diagnostics on HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and identify potential issues. • Execute field service tasks by efficiently troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems to maximize system performance and safety. • Conduct equipment repairs and welding tasks as needed to ensure system reliability and longevity. • Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure the optimal operation of HVAC systems in apartment units and common areas. • Document service calls by maintaining accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks. • Communicate effectively with residents and team members, providing clear explanations and updates regarding HVAC services and repairs. Qualifications: • Proficiency in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair, with experience in ammonia refrigeration systems preferred. • Painting units for move ins. • Field service expertise with strong troubleshooting skills for complex heating and cooling systems. • Skilled in welding, with the ability to perform necessary tasks for equipment repairs. • Knowledge of property maintenance and upkeep related to HVAC systems. • Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a company van for travel to job sites. • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members, ensuring top-notch customer service. • Attention to detail and commitment to safety, with a strong adherence to company and regulatory safety standards. • Additional Skills: Experience with unit turn painting is a plus. This includes furnaces, air conditioning units, ductwork, thermostats, and related equipment.
