Position Overview As a Service Technician, you’ll run residential HVAC service and maintenance calls independently, performing diagnostics, repairs, and customer education with professionalism and care. This position teaches courses in the areas of Blackhawk Technical College’s Air conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Technician program. Duties include teaching course work within the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration program ensuring courses meet the skills needed for the occupations for which students are preparing. Instructional assignment will include evening hours two nights per week. This position will be open until filled, the recruitment may close without further notice. Collaborate with Student Services and the Learning Resources staff members to help students adjust to the learning environment. • Develop and update or revise course and program curriculum as needed to maintain relevance. Option 2: • Bachelor's Degree in in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Studies, Technology Education, Career and Technical Education or a closely related discipline. • Two (2) years or 4,000 hours of related work experience. Teaching related field may be considered for one (1) year of occupational experience.
