The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The HVAC Technician will work with various equipment and tools, including schematics and diagnostic devices, to troubleshoot issues effectively. Responsibilities • Maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. • Diagnose malfunctions in HVAC systems using tools such as Ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand system layouts. • Perform welding tasks as required for system repairs or installations. • Conduct routine maintenance checks on HVAC systems to ensure they operate efficiently. • Repair or replace defective components in HVAC systems including compressors, motors, and electrical controls. • Work with ammonia refrigeration systems when necessary. • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their HVAC needs. Experience • Proven experience in HVAC/R installation and repair is essential. • Familiarity with appliance repair is a plus. • Knowledge of refrigerate systems and their components. • Experience in designing HVAC systems is desirable. • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Certification or training in HVAC technology is preferred.
