WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT • Assist in the temporary shutdown of the facility’s HVAC equipment, systems, and electrical components necessary for renovation, repair, and new construction projects. • Design, construct, install and remove various facility HVAC equipment, systems, and HVAC components. • Diagnose malfunctions in the facility’s HVAC equipment, systems, or HVAC components and take appropriate corrective and preventative actions. • Maintain appropriate documentation for the facility’s HVAC equipment, systems, and HVAC components. • Maintain appropriate inventory of replacement electrical equipment and systems. • Maintain the hospital computerized maintenance management system through the appropriate completion of work orders and the recording of equipment history. • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on all facility HVAC and refrigeration equipment, systems, and components in accordance with prescribed procedures. • Provide quality control for new installations or replacements of the facility’s HVAC and refrigeration equipment, systems and HVAC components performed by others. • Respond to emergency situations such as electrical outages, HVAC equipment failures, ruptured pipe, fires or other hospital codes per hospital and department emergency response plans.
