Preferred Qualifications: • Education and/or experience beyond minimum requirements. • Knowledge of HVAC computerized systems, preferably Johnson Controls; • Knowledge of building systems and plant related equipment; • Vocational or AA degree in HVAC Technology; Principle Duties and Responsibilities: • Diagnose malfunctions of heating/air conditioning/refrigeration systems and/or components for the purpose of identifying repair/replacement needs necessary to maintain equipment and systems; • Install/replace heating/air conditioning/refrigeration and related equipment; • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to various items including refrigerators, air conditioning systems, heating units, etc… • Maintain tools, supplies and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items; • Provide recommendations for the purchase of equipment, parts and supplies and upon approval, order equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring the availability of required items; • Create business contacts for the purchase of equipment and refrigerant and for the removal of such; • Meet with contractors and engineers, as necessary, for future and new installations; • Use proper safety practices and recommendations; • Prepare and maintain documentation (service records, work performed, install dates, etc…) for all equipment; • Respond to all emergency and non-emergency situations, to include nights and weekends, as needed; • Responsible for maintaining and transporting equipment at each of the six MACC campuses; • Must maintain certification and attend training sessions as necessary; • Must possess or have the ability to use and understand the Johnson Controls Metasys computerized heating/cooling system; understanding how the system operates and interacts with the equipment; • This position will also be required to perform other maintenance duties, as outlined in the Maintenance job description; • Perform other duties as assigned by the Physical Plant Manager or Director of Plant Operations.
See More Details >>Description Job Title: Refrigeration Technician Location: Moberly, MO Scope of Position: The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the ammonia refrigeration system, boiler, booster water, compressed air, fire suppression, HVAC and building maintenance tasks as needed. They are also responsible for preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on all equipment as needed.
