We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as an Industrial HVACR Intern/Temp (full-time, up to 40 hours per week). This position will be in Rolla, MO. Summary: Performs a variety of HVAC tasks in order to care for plant structures, utility systems, and production equipment. Responsibilities: • Assists/Performs skilled maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC and other various equipment. • Assists with installing new equipment, performs FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) to ensure equipment performs properly. • Assists/troubleshoots and repairs electrical wiring, ventilation, exhaust, heating, air conditioning, pumps, and compressors. • Assists/performs welding, brazing, drilling, grinding, shaping, painting, carpentry, pneumatics, lubricating, and cleaning. • Safely uses a variety of ladders, lifts, and scaffolding. • Assists/performs a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks in the operation of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilating systems in buildings; repairs and maintains boilers, pipes, thermostats, air filters, pumps, waste and oil pressure indicators, blower fans, belts, and bearings; operates computerized heating/cooling equipment for large, complex systems at centralized and decentralized building plants; troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs/re-programs electric, electronic, and pneumatic controls of buildings by reading schematics and using computer energy management software; oversees contract compliance and contractor work on HVAC repair and replacement projects; leads and/or instructs Building Maintenance Workers in performance of routine maintenance of HVAC equipment; designs and installs new small- to medium-sized HVAC systems; performs data entry related to preventative maintenance; calculates amount of refrigerant to be used in air conditioning systems. • Keeps all regulatory required records related to HVAC work Education & Credentials: • High School diploma or general education degree (GED), or currently enrolled in an HVAC certification program • 18 years of age or older • Working toward HVAC certification • Possess basic understanding of HVAC principles Benefits: At Brewer Science, we are a Top Workplace, Certified Employee-Owned, Certified B Corp™, and GreenCircle Certified Zero Waste to Landfill.
