Chief Heating & Cooling is a mechanical contractor based in Lee's Summit, MO working on projects throughout the Kansas City metro area. We work on varied projects ranging from small tenant finish to new construction on multi-story buildings in the office, retail, and restaurant commercial industries. We are looking for a Sheet Metal Installer to join our team! You will install ductwork and equipment for commercial heating and air conditioning systems. HVAC Technician HIRING IMMEDIATELY $25/HR - $30/HR Description: • Install, repair, and/or replace pneumatic, electric, electronic, and DDC heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) control systems according to design drawings and/or specifications. • Perform preventative maintenance procedures on HVAC pneumatic, electric, electronic, and DDC control systems; diagnose control problems and overhaul, either individually or as part of a team, various building pneumatic, electric, electronic, and DDC control systems. • Clean, maintain, safely operate, and properly store all tools and equipment. • Locate and obtain components required for building pneumatic, electric, electronic, and DDC control systems. Good verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understand. Good judgment, decision making and problem- solving skills. Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Related degree or vocational training preferred. License or Certification: Valid driver’s license. Gas Fitter 1 license required in applicable states. CFC recovery certification required in applicable states. Canada: Trade license or equivalent depending on trade. Experience: Typically requires 2-4 years of HVAC experience. Refrigeration experience preferred. Equivalency: Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the above requirements.
