Job Description The HVAC/R Service Technician Level IV will provide high quality customer relations with proficient skill in the maintenance and service to our commercial and industrial client base. Compensation • Starting pay at $75,000.00 annually or more, based on experience. Job Duties • Must demonstrate an ability to respond to service calls and consistently and accurately troubleshoot and diagnose issues on commercial split systems, packaged units, self contained refrigeration, ice machines, AAON brand equipment, VRF systems, chillers, and boilers, etc. • Must demonstrate the ability to perform and train others to perform high quality preventative maintenance services to our agreement customers and lead other team members by example. • Must demonstrate an advanced expertise in the ability to read schematics, correctly identify electric components, and apply electrical theory. • Must have a mastery of the refrigeration cycle as well as superheat and subcooling and be able to identify HVAC/R components and know their purpose. • Must be internally motivated and exhibit habits of self-study and pursuit of knowledge and skill sets in the HVAC/R industry and be willing to help train others to do the same. • Must be required to work in the ON-CALL rotation and respond to our customers needs in a timely manner after hours as needed. • Must exhibit strong customer relation skills and be able see the big picture when dealing with the client. • Must have a strong team player mindset and attitude with good communication skills. • After being taught, one must develop a mastery of our preventative maintenance agreements and have the ability to express them and their benefits to our customers and potential customers. • Must be able to effectively drive corrective and repair work orders and quote short term as well as long term solutions to our customer. • Must be able to perform accurate and timely paperwork and be able to execute within company guidelines. • Must have the ability to utilize resources available for excellent diagnostics and customer repair or replacement recommendations. Job Requirements • A minimum of 5 to 7 years commercial and industrial HVAC/R experience • Completion of High School or GED • EPA Universal • Valid Driver s License • Pass a drug test • Criminal background check • Excellent customer service and communication skills Physical Job Requirements: A HVAC/R Service Technician Level IV is required to: • Have the ability to stand for prolonged periods routinely, throughout the daily work schedule. • The english language is primary. Bi-lingual is a bonus. • Have the ability to walk around the job site, to business meetings, etc . • Have the ability to operate a computer and other industry specific productivity machinery, such as a calculator and telephone. • Have the ability to talk/hear/communicate with Cary Services office staff and/or customers by phone or in person, exchanging accurate information in these situations. • Have the ability to repeatedly lift irregularly shaped tools/hardware weighing 50 pounds, throughout the work day. • Have the ability to climb ladders and work on building roofs productively at heights of 50 feet. • Have the ability to work in extreme hot and cold conditions. Overview: The Stationary HVAC Technician II is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing HVAC, plumbing and mechanical components/equipment.
