HVAC Engineer

Austin Public School District is seeking to hire a full time HVAC Engineer Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm Performance Responsibilities: Maintains, installs, repairs, plans, and modifies plumbing systems throughout the school district. The Engineer monitors the boiler system for various buildings. Performs other tasks assigned. Duties: • Repairs and replaces piping, fixtures, faucets, valves, traps, and associated parts. • Ability to maintain area of responsibility in a clean neat order. • Knowledge of and skill in use and care for plumbling tools, methods and material. • Knowledge of local and state plumbing codes and regulations. • Able to plan and cost jobs. • Able to interpret, read, and develop instructions, blueprints, and specifications. • Ability to perform general boiler operating procedures to include; filling the boiler, getting up steam, maintain water level, cutting in the boiler, and economical operations. • Repair and replace kitchen equipment. • Ability to determine and repair boiler, and heating systems, causes and restores system to operation. • Operate computers. • Experience with BAS. • Performs other tasks as assigned.
