Job description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with sheet metal, demonstrating proficiency in various fabrication techniques and tools. This role is essential for ensuring the quality and precision of metal components used in our projects. The Sheet Metal Mechanic will work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities • Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products according to specifications and blueprints. • Operate various tools and machinery, including shears, brakes, and welding equipment. • Use an Ohmmeter to test electrical connections and ensure proper functionality of components. • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols. • Collaborate with engineers and other mechanics to troubleshoot issues and improve processes. • Document work performed and maintain accurate records of materials used. Requirements • Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar role in the manufacturing or construction industry. • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery related to sheet metal fabrication. • Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to sheet metal work. • Experience using an Ohmmeter is preferred but not required.
