Senior HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary: As an HVAC Technician at Hawkins Service Company, you will be responsible for maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential properties. You will ensure that our customers' HVAC systems are operating efficiently and safely. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to customer service. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems. • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, providing effective solutions. • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. • Replace or repair defective components and wiring. • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations. • Provide excellent customer service, including explaining system issues and maintenance requirements to customers. • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports and inventory usage. • Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training is preferred. • Valid HVAC technician certification (e.g., EPA 608 certification). • Proven experience as an HVAC technician or in a similar role. • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and functions. • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment. • Ability to work weekends. • Ability to work on call schedule. • Having the proper tools to do the required work. • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Strong communication and customer service skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials. • Comfort working in confined spaces and varying temperatures. • Ability to stand, crouch, and climb ladders for extended periods. Builds a referral network to identify new customers. • Conducts sales calls designed to identify key sources of problems and/or dissatisfaction confronting Facility Directors in operating and maintaining heating/cooling, ventilation and control system equipment. • Develops a sense of urgency to resolve needs and positions Johnson Controls as the supplier of choice. Proposes solutions to prospective customers needs through creative and innovative application of local branch service capabilities with a focus on selling renewable maintenance agreements with an emphasis on digital service offerings, sustainability, and decarbonization. Understands the customer's business and speaks their language. • Reviews and finalizes proposals with prospects and secures their commitment to the Johnson Controls solution. • Conducts customer kick-off meetings, resolves customer issues, creates pull-through opportunities, maintains service agreements, extends service agreements and supports the collections process. • ·Keeps management informed of progress and account status using the Johnson Controls Salesforce.com tool and other means.  Knows when to call for assistance from management to keep the sales process moving. • Develops and implements territory marketing plans consistent with the Johnson Controls Building Solutions business strategy. • Attends and presents at trade shows.  Participates in professional organizations. • Represents Johnson Controls professionally by conducting business according to the highest standards of quality, pride, integrity, and performance.
