About the Role: The role involves leading product development activities and ensuring the safe operation of commercial HVAC equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying HVAC technologies while collaborating with various teams to achieve project goals. Responsibilities: • Work safely and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures. • Lead product development activities by operating commercial HVAC equipment, controlling test facilities, and collecting and reviewing experimental test data. • Lead installation, modification, and builds of developmental commercial HVAC equipment and components, following engineering, agency, and test requirements. • Work with Test Engineering and other Technicians to install and utilize laboratory test equipment including data acquisition systems, power analyzers, flow equipment, pressure, and temperature measurement devices. • Lead efforts to troubleshoot and repair Trane commercial HVAC technologies and equipment. Qualifications: • Associate degree in HVAC or 2-year equivalent degree program at an accredited school. • Alternate of 1-year certificate/diploma with minimum 15 years relevant work experience. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required. • EPA Type Universal Certification or willingness to become certified. • 10+ years work experience in related field.
