HVAC TECHNICIAN

Provide equipment, refrigeration and HVAC maintenance, repair and support to assigned service calls. Demonstrate the company’s core values of teamwork, respect, accountability, quality, innovation and adaptability Duties & Responsibilities • Drive independently to stores daily as assigned. • Perform various preventative maintenance tasks and procedures, including audits. • Perform repairs to systems. • Navigate and investigate electronic controls interfaces. • Assist with and perform various preventative maintenance tasks and procedures to buildings and equipment. • Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment. • Perform compressor, large motor and component replacement. • Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts. • Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts safely. • Clean and maintain company service vehicles, if one is assigned. • Orally communicate with store personnel regarding the proper use of equipment as it relates to repeat calls and overtime. • Utilize company email system to send and receive messages. • Properly complete all repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation in a timely fashion. • Comply with all department and company policies and procedures. • Provide input to supervisor and management towards maintenance Best Practices. • Audit registered store equipment identification lists. • Assist other skilled trade technicians in repairs as requested. • Provide feedback on performance reviews. • Coach, mentor and train other technicians. • Physical demands include, but are not limited to, high aptitude and walking endurance, sitting while driving to various stores, lifting and carrying up to 70 pounds, pushing and pulling climbing ladders of various types, bending, squatting and kneeling and working in different temperatures inside and outside the store. • Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment. • Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner. • Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information. • Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues. • Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs and/or older adults. • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. HVAC Install Technician - Sparta

Responsibilities include installing new and/or replacing heating, air conditioning and ventilation/air quality units and equipment in residential and commercial settings within the Sparta and surrounding area. DDC-HVAC Technician

Minimum Requirements And Qualification • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Degree in a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in DDC-HVAC systems and building controls. • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and train effectively. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint; willingness to learn specialized government software. • Valid U.S. driver’s license. • Must pass a Department of the Army background investigation. • Must pass a drug screening. • Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel (approximately 20% of the time). • Preferred: Niagara N4 Certification. • Preferred: Experience with federal government or military facility operations. Major Responsibility Areas And Duties • Monitor, operate, and maintain Direct Digital Control (DDC) and Building Automation Systems (BAS). • Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle of capital improvement projects exceeding $25,000, including: • Site assessments, scope development, and PWS (Performance Work Statement) creation. • Cost estimation and pre-award coordination with contracting offices. • Construction site visits, deficiency reporting, and issue resolution. • Document and report system alarms, abnormalities, and commissioning activities. • Support corrective maintenance and facilitate collaboration with other maintenance teams. • Assist with the creation and tracking of work orders and repair tickets. • Participate in the Energy Management Team to support Net Zero and sustainability goals. • Validate and verify complex maintenance and repair efforts. • Ensure all BAS software is current, backed up monthly, and securely managed. • Maintain system hardware, software, and programming—both locally and via remote/cloud-based solutions. • Review construction plans and designs for proper BAS integration and compliance. • Manage network connectivity between DPW HQ and individual Reserve Centers. • Interface with the Information Management Office and USARC G-6 to resolve software, hardware, and network issues. • Train government and contractor personnel on operation and maintenance of BAS. • Adjust and operate HVAC systems (e.g., chillers, boilers, AHUs, RTUs) to maintain environmental settings. • Maintain a comprehensive database of HVAC technical support and completed tasks. • Ensure compliance with UFC 3-410-01 and other applicable regulations. • Provide facility management technical assistance and guidance to Facility Coordinators. Physical Requirements And Environmental Conditions Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Work will require the regular utilization of hand and finger dexterity, as well as close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to walking, standing, climbing, bending, reaching, turning, kneeling, crouching, or crawling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that, due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Must be able to lift, move, and transport items frequently over 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds. Work Environment: Work is generally conducted in an inside environment, but may also involve some outside work, depending on the task. The inside environment may be in an office or cubicle with close quarters, with low to moderate noise, and bright or dim lighting. Outside work may include various environmental conditions including hot and cold climates. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
