HVAC / Plumbing Apprentice

Red Bear Mechanical is a family-owned company based in Carson City. We service both commercial and residential clients and deliver exceptional service to provide our clients top-quality service in plumbing, heating, and air conditioning. We are seeking HVAC / Plumbing Apprentice who wants to learns to provide service on residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems to company standards. You will be exposed to all aspects of the field. Employees are required to complete required certification requirements within 90 days of employment. Employees are in the apprentice program for approximately 6 months. Employees who attain established levels of proficiency and qualifications are eligible to move to the next level within the company. Perks - • Tool Account - $600 annual tool allowance • Great vehicles w/ the option to dispatch from home • Company phone and iPad • Company Gas/Credit Card • Company Uniform • A company that embraces technology and change • Ongoing Technical Training Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Required Qualifications: • Ability to safely use a ladder • Basic safety knowledge of tools and surroundings and complying with Red Bear Mechanical Safety practices and procedures • Arrive and be prepared to begin assigned duties on time daily • Arrive each day dressed in appropriate work attire following Red Bear Mechanical dress code.- see company dress code • Ability to safely use hand and power tools • Ability to unload/stock supplies and equipment from work vehicles • Ability to complete precise cutting and drilling of items related to the repair and installation of HVAC equipment and plumbing equipment. • Ability to fill out a daily timecard accurately Essential Functions - DutiesResponsibilities: Depending upon assignment, duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: • Must be able to stand, kneel and walk throughout the day to complete daily tasks and assignments. • Must be able to operate a company vehicle in a safe and legal manner. • Must be able to understand, follow written and verbal direction and communication • Must be able to effectively report problems with company tools, equipment or company vehicle promptly to assigned training lead installer. • Must be able to effectively work a staggered work schedule if on-call duties are assigned. • Must be able to maintain a clean work environment including the company truck and job site. • Must maintain professional appearance and demeanor. • Must be able to use of ladders and climb stairs • Must be able to work effectively with customers, co-workers and other subcontractors • Ability to learn how to install, repair and maintain all types of heating and cooling equipment. • Ability to learn basic knowledge of plumbing service repairs and installation • Ability to learn to use Service Titan dispatch software • Report problems with company tools or company vehicle promptly to your supervisor • Other duties as assigned. Education • High School Diploma or GED equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. • Trade school courses desirable. Required Licenses or Certifications: • Possession of a valid class C Nevada driver's license. • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) license. - required to obtain within 90 days of employment
