System Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Specialist IV Join our team as a Maintenance Specialist IV and take on a critical role in ensuring the optimal functioning of facilities and equipment throughout the district. As a seasoned professional with advanced-skilled work experience in multiple trades, you will be responsible for designing, inspecting, repairing, operating, fabricating, altering, installing, servicing, and maintaining various systems. Key Responsibilities Include: • Performing electrical repair and maintenance duties, including installing, adjusting, repairing or replacing electric lights, motors, heaters, generators, transformers, switchboards, and other electrical apparatus. • Operating electrical power generating plants and maintaining the electrical shop and operating electrical equipment. • Performing HVAC duties, including operating, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, water treatment, ventilation, and air compressors equipment. • Maintaining, inspecting, diagnosing, and making emergency repairs to steam, LPG, natural gas, water, refrigeration, air, and oil distribution systems. Requirements include a High School Diploma or Equivalent, completion of a formal apprenticeship (4 years), or Vocational School or College Certificate/degree in the specialized area, or specialized training equal to 4 years in two or more of the building trades. A minimum of 4 additional years of experience in at least two areas of specialization is required.
