The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various aspects of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The HVAC Technician will play a crucial role in providing high-quality service to our clients while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Duties • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including refrigeration units and boilers. • Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on HVAC equipment to identify issues and implement effective solutions. • Repair and replace defective components such as compressors, pumps, and electrical controls. • Service ammonia refrigeration systems and ensure they operate efficiently. • Plumb new installations as required for HVAC systems. • Utilize welding skills for repairs or modifications on equipment when necessary. • Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and time spent on each job. • Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address HVAC-related issues in residential or commercial properties. • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their HVAC needs. Requirements • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role with a focus on equipment repair and maintenance. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively. • Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is preferred but not mandatory. • Proficiency in plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations is advantageous. • Ability to weld and perform minor fabrication tasks as needed. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. • Valid driver's license required for travel between job sites.
