We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician I to join our team. Our electricians provide all forms of electrical maintenance and repair services throughout the City of Virginia Beach. There are two vacancies for the position each with a different work schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm or Tuesday-Friday 6:00am-4:30pm. In this role, the Electrician I will be responsible for the following: • Assist and /or troubleshoot and repair electric motors, fans, and lighting systems. • Install lighting outlets, switches, and receptacles. • Maintenance and testing of emergency generator and fire alarm systems. • Participate in work involving preventive maintenance, distribution panels and equipment, circuit systems, controls and light fixtures. • Participate in repairs, installation and maintenance of fire alarms, public address systems, enunciator and other communication systems to ensure proper operation and to prevent equipment failure. • Generate work orders and daily log sheets in a neat and orderly fashion. • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical.
