Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations and repairs meet safety standards and comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. • Perform troubleshooting on electrical systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical work. • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and maintenance person services, to ensure seamless project execution. • Renovate existing electrical systems as needed to enhance functionality and efficiency. • Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and safety standards during all work performed. • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used for each project. Requirements • Valid journeyman/journeywoman electrician license or equivalent certification. • Proven experience as an electrician in both commercial and industrial settings. • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes. • Proficiency in low voltage wiring systems as well as high voltage installations. • Experience with frame carpentry is a plus for renovation projects. • Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics effectively. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
