Job Summary The I/E Supervisor position will assist the IEC Superintendent with daily management of all plant instrumentation and electrical activities. The I/E Supervisor position will have a strong emphasis in the safe and effective job execution, planning and job implementation. All maintenance department employees will assist in the development and implementation of plant safety programs and policies. Essential Job Functions • Carry out and supervise department and company safety policies and procedures at all times. • Supervise I/E technicians and their workloads. • Prioritize Plant I/E needs based on Operations schedule. • Good interpersonal and communication skills. • Be able to work in and promote a positive team working environment. • Assist with I/E technician testing and qualification. • Experience with an EAMS System and issuance of work orders, maintain records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of I/E information. • Lead equipment failure analysis as needed. • Assist Department Engineering with new project development and implementation as needed. • Be able to read and understanding instrumentation and electrical prints. • Strong mechanical aptitude. • Have basic understanding of electrical to assist in equipment troubleshooting and lockout. • Possess project instrumentation and electrical skills. Participate in plant projects when needed. • Assist process operators when necessary. • Acts as a liaison between Production and Maintenance departments. • Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements • Minimum 5 years in an industrial instrumentation or electrical position performing in-depth repair and maintenance of process equipment. • Self-motivated with a strong conviction for a team-approach. • Strong commitment to Safety in the performance of I/E work. • Strong demonstrated expertise in instrumentation and electrical fields, with in-depth exposure to 480V 3 phase power. • Planning and scheduling experience a plus. • Knowledge of Electrical Distribution Systems is a plus. • Focus on identification of root causes and taking corrective action. • High school diploma or equivalent with strong fundamental skills (math, reading, writing). • Communication (spoken and written), listening and teamwork skills. • Previous leadership experience preferred. • Willing to accept after-hours trouble calls. • Flexible, willing and able to work rotating shifts as well as day position.
