JOB DUTIES: This working position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of all types of electrical infrastructure, electrical systems, and electrical devices including but not limited to, power, lighting, control, locking control, and motors and associated systems and components utilized in the operation of the facility. • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs for all electrical systems, ensuring proper function. • Conducts tests, maintains logs, and keeps records for equipment as per Department guidelines. • Installs, alters, repairs, or replaces electrical infrastructure, lighting systems, motors, motor starters, transformers, circuit breaker panels, and related electrical distribution up to 600 volts. • Follows local, state, and federal codes, tool safety, and security procedures, and plans and organizes work, requisitioning necessary parts. • Prepares reports, supervises inmates, prepares their progress reports, participates in departmental training, and performs other related duties as required.
