Summary Our company has an immediate opening for Electrician - Asphalt Plant in Vero Beach, Fl. The Electrician - Asphalt Plant is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and controls at asphalt plant facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and PLCs, and be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments under physically demanding conditions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, controls, motors, and plant equipment. • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation. • Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in asphalt plant equipment, including conveyors, feeders, motors, pumps, and control systems. • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. • Assist with plant start-up, shutdown, and operational support. • Maintain tools, testing equipment, and electrical parts inventory in proper working condition. • Support plant upgrades and installations of new electrical components. • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an industrial electrician. • Knowledge of high and low voltage systems, motor controls, and PLC troubleshooting. • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams. • Familiarity with VFDs, sensors, and plant control systems. • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently. • Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. • Reliable transportation to and from the job site. • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel between plant sites as needed. • Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred, but not required. • Physical Requirements: Requires the following motions: climbing, bending, squatting, lifting, stretching, pushing, pulling, twisting, kneeling, standing, walking, sitting and reaching. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. • Working Conditions: Capability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
