About the position We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team, specializing in commercial electric work for new build construction projects across central to southern Maine. This role requires knowledge and ability to work on conduits, basic wiring, and the use of full PPE and journeyman hand tools. Electrical Design Engineer Job Description We are looking for an experienced electrical design engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engineering designs for electrical substations ranging from simple device replacements to large greenfield substation sites. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include: • Preparing engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports, and designs for electrical substations. • Collaborating with designers and CADD technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes, and project specifications and requirements. • Developing design deliverables including one-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA schemes, communications plans, substation physical layouts, material lists, conduit and cable sizing/routing, AC and DC systems calculations and sizing, and substation grounding. • Performing site visits during the design, construction, and as-built phases of projects.
