Helper Electrician

Spark is hiring a Helper Electrician to assist our more experienced Electricians. Our shop is in South Portland. We work a radius of about 90 minutes from there, with an occasional project outside of that area. You will be expected to provide your own personal transportation, but we will provide a truck as needed. We offer competitive wages, paid time off, and health benefits. Responsibilities Tasks will include providing support to other electricians, and assisting in all aspects of electrical installation and service. Qualifications Mechanical experience, a good attitude and a strong work ethic are must haves. Electrical experience is a bonus. Licensed Electrician - South Portland

DescriptionThe Journeyman or Master Electrician is a part of the solar installation team responsible for the highest quality installation of solar electric and solar hot water systems for our clients. In addition to the general responsibilities as a member of the install crew, and together with the Master Electrician, the Journeyman oversees the electrical portions of the installation including wiring, grounding, interconnection as well as permitting, inspections and utility witness tests as needed. Together with the engineering department and other licensed electricians, the Master is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Electric Code (NEC) as well as industry and company best practices. Journeyman Electrician

About the position Responsibilities • Work on commercial electric projects, specializing in new build construction. • Install and maintain electrical conduits and wiring. • Perform conduit bending and other necessary tasks for electrical installations. • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues based on blueprints and technical drawings. • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant codes and safety standards. Requirements • Active Journeyman Electrician's license in the state of Maine. • 1 to 2 years of experience in a commercial construction environment. • Proficiency in working with electrical conduits and basic wiring. • Experience with conduit bending and the use of hand tools. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
