Full job description Rooftop Power is one of the fastest growing solar installation firms servicing MA and RI. We provide best-in-class full-service solar solutions, from assessment, pricing, design, financing and incentive assistance, installation, follow-up, maintenance and repair. We are anticipatingexponential growthin interest in both residential and commercial solar power. Wages from $48+/hour based on experience. Our electricians are involved in the safe installation of residential and commercial PV systems to ensure that they conform to existing national and local building codes, maintains the proper Company documents for each project including photographs, “as built” information, and related documents, and working with the installation team insuring all safety standards are adhered to, and interacting professionally and effectively with the customer. • Insure the safe and proper installation of electrical systems that interconnect our solar array to the grid power of our customer’s property • Ensuring good workmanship and compliance with current NEC and local codes • Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues • Ensures overall crew and job site safety; staging materials, general ground support, and general site preparation and clean-up • Ensure all required parts to complete that day’s work are stocked and available on the truck • Maintain high quality control of tools, vehicles and materials needed for job responsibilities • Necessary Skills and Experience: • Understanding of wire and conduit sizing as well as how to make adjustments for environmental factors • Ability to perform basic electrical calculations • Ability to read and interpret one line drawings and electrical schematics • Knowledge of the 2011 NEC and the ability to abide by the guidelines • Must be willing to work in high places (our installations are on rooftops) • Working knowledge of the usage of a volt meter Wages from $48+/hour based on experience.DoYou Have What It Takes to Join Our Rocking Team? • Electrical License in RI and MA (CT also a plus) • Minimum of 1 years of experience in solar (optional) • Valid driving license and good driving record • All candidates must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screen • Ability to take any task and organize it, plan it, and implement it through to completion • Computer savvy • Works long hours when necessary to reach goals • Uses time efficiently • Passionate about renewable energy and an interest in reducing our carbon footprint. • Excellent customer service skills • Polite, Punctual, and Professional • Job Types: Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule: • 8 hour shift Work Location: On the road
