Senior Maintenance Electronics/Electrical Technician

Job Description: Highly technical, supervisory and hands on work in the Structures and Grounds Division, in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical and high technology systems in town buildings and facilities; all other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma with college level associates degree in technical courses in electronics and/or electrical trade; over seven years' experience as a reliable, full time technician/electrician, of which two years have been in an industrial setting; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Massachusetts Class D driver's license required. Master Electrician's license required. S-license from the Department of Public Safety preferred. Must have the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. Additional Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of the various types of materials, equipment, tools, methods and techniques used in the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring, process control systems, HVAC, traffic management, energy management, alarms, Datacom, and telecommunications. Knowledge of BISCI telecommunications/data codes, local building and fire codes and OSHA regulations. Ability to read and interpret detailed plans, schematics, ladder logic, drawings and specifications. Ability to design and prepare cost estimates and bills of material for routine repair and special projects. Ability to coordinate and work with all other building trades. Ability to supervise work crews and instruct them in the proper handling and efficient use of tools and materials. Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records and prepare routine and special reports using a computer. Ability to manage work orders and reports using a computer tablet in the field. Electrical Engineer I – Hyannis

Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical, process, and automation engineers to understand electrical needs, project objectives, critical success factors, and to develop the corresponding electrical deliverables. • Refine your professional skills under the mentorship and direction of seasoned electrical engineering professionals. • Participate in the evaluation and assessment of electrical systems to accommodate changes in electrical demand, improved energy efficiency, renewable and sustainable energy sources, achieve electrical resiliency, and to comply with new and emerging electrical codes. • Design of electrical power generation, distribution and utilization systems including high-voltage main and secondary substations, power distribution equipment, protective relaying and metering, electrical power generating equipment and systems, UPS and power conditioning systems, lightning and surge protection systems, motors and motor controls, indoor/outdoor lighting systems, electrical heat tracing, wiring methods and/or grounding systems • Prepare design documentation (specifications and drawing details) and basis of design reports to support the construction of new and electrical systems. • Work within AutoCAD and Revit to develop detailed electrical design documents to identify equipment mounting locations, elementary wiring diagrams, panel schedules, and one-line diagrams. • Assist in the development of power studies. • Work from the office and collaborate with distributed teams. An estimated 20% regional travel may be expected to perform site reconnaissance, witness of electrical tests and demonstrations, and to evaluate conformance with design documents. • Develop a solid understanding of NFPA 70 and other electrical industry codes, local codes, and best practices. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 0-4 years of related experience. • Ability and personal interest in obtaining EIT certification and Professional Engineering license. • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. • Excellent problem-solving, reasoning, and analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset. • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the US without restriction. The anticipated base pay range of $75,000-$90,000 per year is commensurate with experience. Principal High Voltage Specialist

The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $52.24 - $65.30 per hour. JOB SUMMARY The Principal High Voltage Specialist role supports the Operations and Maintenance of the Vineyard Wind 1 Offshore Wind Generating Facility. This position will report directly to the High Voltage Engineering Manager at the Barnstable, MA O/M Facility. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all On-Site O/M activities related to the Balance of Plant works for the Offshore Wind Generation facility. JOB DUTIES 1. Execute safe operations on managed onshore and offshore transmission assets. 2. Become Authorized Person under company safety rules in accordance with OSHA and BSEE standards. Including but not limited to the following responsibilities: • Carrying out High-Voltage switching operations under the direction of a System Operator • Comply with company policy to implement Lockout / Tagout provisions on system isolations. • Perform de-energized verification testing of electrical transmission circuits and apparatus using approved work methods. • Determine appropriate locations and install personal protective grounds in accordance with approved work methods. • Hold "Clearance" for responsibility of work on the Primary (High-Voltage Network) • Review switching schedules to be accurate and correct for the work to be performed under a Clearance. • Provide oversight and safety observation of contractor works under a Clearance. 3. Ability to read and interpret One- Line operating diagrams. 4. Have thorough understanding and knowledge of electrical work scopes and associated hazards to take responsibility for oversight and management of work crews. 5. Perform planned and unplanned maintenance activities on HV electrical equipment and associated protection and control systems. 6. Perform work in accordance with relevant procedures, processes and technical literature. 7. Efficiently troubleshoot, perform corrective actions, fault identification and data collection for abnormal system conditions.
