Electrical Team Lead

As an Electrical Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to: • Maximize equipment reliability to support facility operations by effectively leading and motivating a team of electricians while ensuring safety protocols are followed. • Collaborate closely with mill management, supervisors, operators, and production teams to manage electrical maintenance efficiently. • Oversee a team of electricians, coordinating schedules, special projects, daily work orders, and preventative maintenance activities, all while providing training and mentorship. • Foster open communication among electricians, millwrights, management, and production teams to uphold electrical standards. • Utilize preventative maintenance software to document repairs, track parts usage, and manage electricians' time and attendance. • Create and manage project timelines, produce presentations for management, and offer technical guidance to electricians tackling complex maintenance tasks, including PLCs, HMIs, and electrical designs. • Conduct team meetings and create personalized development plans to nurture and grow the skills of your electricians. • Coordinate with external vendors for necessary goods and services. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics; oversee the design and installation of plant equipment. • Monitor employee performance and address any disciplinary actions as necessary. • Assist with maintenance tasks when necessary to ensure operational continuity. Qualifications: • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preferred: Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Journeyman Electrical License, or at least five years of experience in an Industrial Electrical role. • Experience: Minimum of two years in a lead or supervisory position required; three years leading projects and managing budgets preferred. Experience in an electrical department within a manufacturing environment is desired, with a preference for those from the Lumber or Wood Products industry. Required Skills: • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and web-based applications; SAP experience preferred. • Strong organizational skills with adaptability to change and interruptions. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management abilities. • Self-motivated and able to work independently. • Ability to anticipate production and maintenance needs in close collaboration with management. • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
