Overview Green Source Electric (GSE) is a growing non-union residential and light commercial electrical contractor seeking a Journeyman or Master Electrician who can work independently in the field, managing job sites, troubleshooting, and completing installations. Please note: This is a hands-on, field-based position. We are NOT seeking master electricians who only want to provide license coverage without performing electrical work. This position requires direct residential and/or commercial construction electrical experience. Specialty-only backgrounds (solar, pool, mining/industrial, aviation, linework, low-voltage) are not sufficient unless paired with verifiable construction wiring experience. Military electrical experience may be considered. Key Responsibilities • Perform residential and commercial installations per NEC & Montana code • Troubleshoot and complete service work independently • Install panels, circuits, feeders, devices, and EMT/PVC conduit • Read and interpret blueprints and job specs • Manage tasks and multiple job sites independently • Mentor apprentices as needed • Maintain top-tier quality, safety, and professionalism Qualifications • Valid Montana Journeyman or Master Electrician License (Required) • Valid Driver’s License • Strong knowledge of NEC and Montana electrical codes • Proven ability to work independently without daily supervision • Ability to perform hands-on electrical work daily (this is not a license-only role) • Dependable, organized, and committed to quality • Construction-based residential/commercial electrical experience • Military electrical experience may be considered with NEC-style background Experience Not Sufficient Unless Combined With Construction Work • Solar installation • Pool/spa electrical • Mining or industrial electrical • Aviation/aircraft electrical • Utility linework • Low-voltage-only work Schedule & Work Conditions • Full-time, year-round • Projects primarily in Helena/Townsend • Monday–Friday, field-based work • Occasional travel as needed License/Certification: Montana Journeyman or Master Electrician (Required) Work Location: In person (Helena/Townsend region) Ready to join a company that values craftsmanship, independence, and integrity?
