Responsibilities The Entry-Level Substation Electrical Engineer will share responsibility with the rest of the department to produce a product consistent with POWER's mission statement and our culture. In this role, you will work as part of a multi-discipline engineering team leading and executing the electrical components of federal and industrial projects. Experience with modeling electrical systems and running power system studies using ETAP, PTW, and/or Easy Power is strongly preferred. The applicant will interface directly with internal and external clients and will demonstrate a proven ability to drive projects to successful completion within budget and schedule constraints. Required Education/ Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. • 5+ years of applicable experience in the design and specification of low and medium voltage power distribution systems, lighting systems, and special systems for commercial, federal, and industrial facilities. • Ability to work with and be supported and guided by senior engineers. • Act as an electrical lead engineer and/or project lead engineer. • Shall be capable of self-performing all electrical engineering tasks associated with the project; including the proposal, design, and coordination of drafting. Must have experience with preparing engineering calculations, BOMs, and cost estimates, coordination with clients, and providing construction support. • Capability to work with other discipline leads, PMs, and others to manage and coordinate all the Electrical efforts for the team on a project while supporting the needs of other disciplines to effectively execute a project. • Ability to mentor junior or mid-level electrical engineers, designers, and drafters. • Effective in prioritizing and setting deadlines, while also adapting to change. • Excellent oral and written communication skills with cross-disciplinary team members and clients. • Ability to promote and market electrical scope and your skills to new and existing clients.
