Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the electrical systems of various projects are installed, maintained, and repaired to the highest standards. You will bring your expertise to both commercial and industrial settings, working with a variety of tools and technologies. Your skills will shine as you tackle challenges head-on, contributing to exciting renovation and construction projects while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). What you’ll do • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise installations. • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks safely and efficiently. • Troubleshoot electrical issues using ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment. • Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure timely project completion. • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks as needed. • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and NEC standards. • Provide maintenance person services as required for various renovation projects. Basic qualifications • Proven experience as an electrician in both commercial and industrial settings. • Strong understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems. • Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical installations. Preferred qualifications • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs). • Familiarity with frame carpentry techniques. • Prior experience on construction sites is highly desirable. • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team. Qualifications • Minimum of 5 years' experience required running large scale electrical projects. • Ability to read and understand construction blueprints and schematics. • Electrical license preferred but not mandatory. • Must have verifiable work experience and be willing to travel. Travel package is provided. • Excellent organizational skills with careful attention to detail and timely follow-through. • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills. • Must be self-directed and capable of handling multiple tasks with minimal supervision. • Able to work effectively in stressful, time-sensitive environments. • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). • High standard of integrity and professionalism.
