About the Role We are looking for a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our dynamic team at the Theodore Cement Plant in AL. In this role, you will be integral to maintaining and troubleshooting our electrical power and control systems, ensuring their efficiency and reliability. Key Responsibilities • Troubleshoot and repair a variety of electrical equipment throughout the cement plant including instrumentation circuits, motor control circuits up to 13.8 kilovolts, low and medium voltage drives, and monitoring analyzers. • Assist in conducting preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical systems. • Read schematics and perform instrumentation calibration. • Utilize digital and analog PLC programming for troubleshooting purposes. • Handle low and medium voltage cable routing, splicing, and termination tasks. • Engage in basic mechanical activities such as non-critical welding and laser alignment. • Conduct walk-by inspections and diagnostic checks to ensure optimal functioning. • Maintain documentation and organize work plans while participating in team activities. • Collaborate with contractor personnel on various projects. • Engage in formal and on-the-job training to enhance both technical and non-technical skills. • Embrace and promote a culture of safety, adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments.
