See More Details >>Key Responsibilities • Support electricians in setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure • Install electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshoot malfunctions and blackouts, and repair appliances • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools • Trace out short circuits in wiring using test meter • Strip insulation from wire ends using wire stripping pliers and attach wires to terminals for subsequent soldering • Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections using hand tools • Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings using hand and power tools • Clean work area and wash parts • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order Requirements • High School Diploma or GED • Proven experience as an electrical helper • Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems • Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools such as wire strippers, voltmeter, etc. • Capable of reading electrical drawings and/or blueprints • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations/guidelines • Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and/or overnight Working Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a teammate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
