EXAMPLE OF DUTIES • Performs construction, maintenance, and repairs on structures, facilities and equipment for the water and sewer collection and distribution system and the WWTFs. • Reads blueprints, diagrams, and sketches. • Troubleshoots and/or traces electrical circuits in control panels and other equipment; identifies and repairs/replaces defective components. • Operates and maintains hand-held manual, electrical, and gas-powered tools and equipment, to include diagnostic instruments, trade specific meters and gauges. • Performs records maintenance duties, to include work orders, materials and supplies utilized, cost estimates, labor required, maintenance logs, and fuel logs. • Reports any detected deterioration, repair and maintenance needs to supervisor. • Assists with the planning, estimating, and coordination of tasks. • Uses SCADA program to monitor, evaluate and change station functions. • Ensures the availability of emergency power supply from generators; performs maintenance checks. • Responds to emergent water and sewer maintenance and repair issues outside of normal duty hours as needed. • Performs other duties as assigned.
